Blue Ridge Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees. Blue Ridge Community College may also offer credentials such as certificates at approved degree levels. The Veterinary Technology program’s veterinary clinic holds a permit issued by the Virginia Board of Veterinary Medicine of the Department of Health Professions, and the program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association.

The BRCC Paramedic program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (https://www.caahep.org/) upon the recommendation of Committee on Accreditation for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).


All degree programs offered at the College are approved by the State Department of Education for payment of veterans' educational benefits.
