PLS 135. American National Politics. (3 Credits)

Teaches political institutions and processes of the national government of the United States, focuses on the Congress, presidency, and the courts, and on their interrelationships. Gives attention to public opinion, suffrage, elections, political parties, interest groups, civil rights, domestic policy, and foreign relations. Lecture 3 hours per week. Total 3 hours per week.

PLS 211. U.S. Government I. (3 Credits)

Teaches structure, operation, and process of national, state, and local governments. Includes in-depth study of the three branches of the government and of public policy. Lecture 3 hours per week. Total 3 hours per week.

PLS 212. U.S. Government II. (3 Credits)

Teaches structure, operation, and process of national, state, and local governments. Includes in-depth study of the three branches of the government and of public policy. Lecture 3 hours per week. Total 3 hours per week.

PLS 241. International Relations I. (3 Credits)

Teaches geographic, demographic, economic, ideological, and other factors conditioning the policies of countries and discusses conflicts and their adjustment. Lecture 3 hours per week. Total 3 hours per week.

Teaches foreign policies of the major powers in the world community with an emphasis on the role of the United States in international politics. Lecture 3 hours per week. Total 3 hours per week.
