Class Attendance
While individual instructors’ policies may vary, punctual and regular attendance is expected. When absence from a class becomes necessary, the student is responsible for informing the instructor prior to the absence whenever possible. The student is also responsible for completion of all work missed during an absence. Instruction missed may affect the student’s grade, regardless of the reason for the absence.
Frequent absences may result in the termination of veterans’ educational benefits and other programs of financial assistance.
Failure to attend within the first 15% (last day to drop with a refund) of class sessions will result in administrative drop from the course.
Attendance policy for distance learning courses: Failure to demonstrate active participation within the first 15% (last day to drop with a refund) of an online class will result in an administrative drop from the course. Tuition paid will not be refunded to students who do not participate. For online courses, never attending is defined as never having participated in any class discussions or other learning management activities.
